Yes you do need an aftermarket bov. Yes you do need guages. Installing a boost controller is EASY. Install it in between the turbo housing and the wastgate. If you dont know what im talking about then let me try to explain. There is a hose coming off the turbo running to T. On the T, the hose on the left goes to a bcs (boost control solonoid). The hose on the right of course goes to the turbo. The hose coming up goes to the wastgate (round thing with a rod coming out of it). Now take your manual boost controller and install it in between the hose coming from the turbo to the hose going to the wastegate. Once your done that take off the bsc because there is no longer a use for it. If hope this clears it up for ya. good luck.

Hey Emonz, what hoses are you talking about? I thought I would use the hoses pluged up to my turbo off the wastegate and turbo housing? Now I am confused.

What about this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ECLIP...spagenameZWDVW

Looking at this one and the other one I posted, why does this one have three connections and the other one has two? What the difference?

Whats the difference between the $70 manual boost controllers and the $20-$40 manual boost controllers? Please help. Dont know what I should get.
And also, if the three manual boost controllers are good, which one of them three would you guys purchase? Or which one is the better one?
