Default MBC question

ok i know when you install a mbc you splice it in between the hose coming off the compressor housing and the wastegate. My question is what do you do with the BCS hose that connects at a 3 way T with the compressor houseing and wastegate?Do you just cap off the BSC and forget about it or what? BTW im driving a 97 gst. Oh and another thing i just bought a boost gauge and its mechanical and i not quite sure how to install the damn thing...it came with a long plastic tube and some wires and a couple of brass fittings.

the wires are so that you will be able to see it at night. the plastic tube is so that you have something to out of the back of the gauge where you'll have to connect to a vacume line off the turbo.

think of the bcs as a 'stock' boost controller, except its non adjustable. so yes you just cap it off or remove it from under the hood completely and install the mbc in its place

alright well i tapped a T into the line going into the manifold right next to the brake fluid resevoir and its peaking at 17psi in third gear!!!!!! I dont know whats going on but there is no way my stock (t-25) is puttin that out. I have an intake and turboback exhaust no cat with intercooler piping and bcs removed but still that shouldnt be that high. Even if it is accurate i should be hitting fuel cut so i dont know whats up. I might take the gauge back and try another one. Any idea why its reading so high?
