My 95 mitsubishi eclipse with a turbo will not start
when i try to start my car it just turns over and sometimes it back fires and when u stop trying to start it u can smell gas through the window please help!!!!!
1) Make sure the plug wires are arranged in the correct order
2) Test the power transistor to make sure it hasn't gone bad
3) Test the coils
If you smell gas, it means that the ecu is still dumping fuel into the engine, but not igniting it. This rules out your cam positioning sensor and crankshaft positioning sensor. Since the fuel is not igniting, check everything within the ignition circuit until you find the issue. I hope that helps.
