Hey all, just picked up an 01 Spyder GT and need some advice on engine mods for it or links to good sites to buy the mods. I've already had an ANSA exaust system put on and an AEM cold air intake on order. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Welcome... Well if intake and exhaust are taken car of, ECU, Headers, larger throttle body, How much you looking to spend? I think Madmat and Burntgsx have some websites to go to.

I never really got into the 3rd gen eclipses.. DSM man right here.. but I know you can trick the hell out of those cars. just cause they are newer. what other things are you looking for? like wildwest said, if you have intake, finish your exhaust with headers and maybe a test pipe, or at least a new cat. then a new throttle body, upgrade your fuel with some bigger injectors and rails. new cams and gears, motor mounts (cause by this time you will start seeing some wheel hop, and thats not cool) THEN GO TURBO!

 

but if you are even considering turbo. Make sure that you dont have to rebuy parts. ie parts that wouldnt work under a turbo format - headers digh comp pistons...

 

yes, this is true.. sorry that I failed to mention that.. if you are planning on turbo. just save up for a bit and don't worry about those things

 

Where can I find better throttlebody or spacer for my eclipse? Also can you all provide links to cool eclipse performance parts sites? Thank everyone for the posts.

 

Almost forgot, I don't want a turbo, I already own a Supercharged 03 F-150 HD. Just looking to make my eclipse faster without spending more than 1K.
