Default Need advice on Overheat

Ok guys, I just recently bought a 96 GS-t from the president of the company that I work with. This is what he did to the car. He rebuilt the engine, and bought a brand new auto tranny from Mitsu dealer. The only thing that tha car has is that only once the car overheated and he just parked there for a while like six months. So the question is this do you think that if I started again the car will start again? Or what should I do? Thanks guys? Any advice will be helpful.

It depends on how badly the vehicle overheated and whether any damage resulted from it.

I would replace the thermostat, and flush the coolant and replace it with engine ice coolant then give her a go and be sure to watch your temp gauge.
