Default need new crankshaft for rebuild?

hey guys i have just about everything except my clutch (which is being ordered in the next 2 weeks) for my rebuld of my 420a. i have every piece needed but was just wondering if i need to buy a new crankshft??? don't know of it could benefit me but just thought i'd ask. thanks.

Its all gonna depend on what youre doing to the bottom end,mileage of course is an issue as well,Ive rebuilt probably 4 420a,s,and havent replaced a crank yet.Two of the rebuilds were because #1 rod broke,i replaced the piston/rod assy,re-ringed them all and put the rod bearings back where they were.no problems.If you think you need to do some crank work,you can always send it out have it turned 10/10,and get 10 over bearings,I just dont see replacing a crank unless theres major journal damage as in running an engine without oil,etc.....my .02
