Default new belts

ok i just replaced the power steering belt on my gst because it snapped.... it squeaks.. bad... does it have to break in?? why is it still squeaking a week after a replaced it?!... what do i do?

check to make sure that its not too loose or if its too tight it would make noises also. It could be your p/s pump squeeling. Just put some lucas rack and pinion fix in your power steering resevoir and it should stop.

90% of the time squeaky belts are the result or improper tensioning. try tightening/loosening it to spec

ok i think my power steering belt is rubbing up against my timing belt cover?!... hmm what to do?
