New BOV
The one and only advantage to having an aftermarket bov at or close to stock is once you remove the BCS restrictor, you will actually be able to hold pressure without leaking where the stock 2G bov will.
If you're talking about a 1G, then there's no advantage as the 1G bov is made of metal and won't leak...95% of the time. The other 5% are the ones that have been left laying around collecting dust and deteriorating.
1G bovs are also highly sought out because of their cheap pricing and ability to be modded to hold more pressure than 18psi (the average).

completely correct. the only thing i want to make sure you know is that you will need a bov that will recirculate. there are a couple options. Greddy type S, Greddy type RS, HKS Super Sequential (HKS SSQ). these all have recirc kits that you will need to buy so that the released pressure feeds back into the intake. if you do not recirc your call will run like crap and most likely shut off on you once in a while also.
