Im looking to put a new engine in my car since as some of you know its pretty much swrewed. I would like to put in a six bolt 4G63 in it but i was wondering since im goign to put a new one in what other types would fit the mounts that would increse the power as well. Also where are some good places to find these engines?

 

wel it depends of you want one pre-built in which buschar racing, jackson auto machine, slow boy racing are all good sources. If you want one for cheap that you can build yourself im selling my 6-bolt block.

Well with the section I'd assume he has an eclipse of some sort. What's wrong with the current engine? Why not build it? Unless of course you threw a rod through the side or something...

 

its a 96 Eclipse GST. I want a 6 bolt because i drive hard...real hard and i want somethign that can put up with me

Do you mean a 6 bolt 2.3L stroker? or do you mean, 7 bolt 2.4L swap?

 

probably a 6-bolt 2.3l stroker but since they use the 2.4l crank, thats why he might be refering to it as a 2.4l

What is the biggest/most powerful engin i can slap in this car with out have to reinforce anyhting if that would be an issue

 

no its a 2.3l stroker. it just uses a 2.4l crank.

edit: it doesnt matter about size, you can have a high hp 2.0L that will make you want to reinforce the car.
