Default New manifold or ported original

So I have an extra turbo manifold. I was wondering if porting and polishing it is enough for my setup or would I need to buy a newer manifold. I don't care about sound or looks of the manifold, just performance.

Right now I have the EVO III 16g turbo with 650 injectors. It's not a massive setup.

So would it be fine to just port it and polish it in order to improve flow for my kind of setup or should I buy a tubular one?

If porting is the suggestion, how much should I port it? What areas of the manifold should I port?

Will powdercoating work on it? Should I just heat wrap it so I could remove my heat shield?

Any advice, links are gr8ly appreciated.

Thx

I have a similar set up and I'm gonna find an evo 3 manifold b/c they flow very well w/o any porting and they have that stock look imo. And they can be gotten cheap too.

you can get it ported for much cheaper than getting a new manifold... get it ported and polished, with your setup it'll be perfect
