Default RE: New Wheels and Tires Help!

I used to have a pair of niche 18x8.5 but i traded them for a pair of stock gst 16's with a set of 225/50's and honestly they handle way better than my 18's ever did. If you go anything higher than 17's you really wont be gaining any performance

One thing to keep in mind is the overall diameter of the wheel. I found that 215/50/17 is only slightly faster than stock.
Type in the wheels that you are thinking of and the program will tell you how fast or slow the speedo will be.

Plug in your preferred tire size and see. Stock 215/55/16
Here's info on stock specs.. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/macross/2Gfitment.html

...and EVO wheels will bolt on, but it will stick out and if you're lowered, it will rub both the front and rear fenders. I put a set on that my buddy was selling just to try them on and if you can live with stock height you may be able to get away with it. Eclipse/Talon offset is 46mm, EVO offset is 35mm-38mm (I forget which.....Emonz...jump in anytime bud). I have 40mm on my car right now and it's barely flush up front and I'm lowered....about to raise it back up due to Hawaii speed..fu#$in'..bumps.

Anyway, just a heads up fellas.
