Default newbie with a Q on the diamond star

was wondering what problems i might have to face with a DSM, turbo, AWD 98 eclipse with 70k

might be purchasing one in 2 weeks, was well maintained and has no aftermarket upgrades

can anyone here please gimme some insight as what to be ready for,or even things i should change at that mileage before anything might go kaput.

thanx all, feel free to email me if you dont wanna post

Just look for basic negligence from previous owners....check to see if the Timing belt has been replaced, check out the turbo and look for leaks and see if it's spooling alright, and be aware that crankwalk can happen to these cars. Other than that, it's not a bad choice.

i was thinking more along the lines of what would be worn down first-like the valve trian or anything, i hear the gst is good for worn VT at about 70k

thanx for the reply

If someone has beat on it then yea, nothing particular about these cars over anything else really. Just go over it and do anything you need to, I wouldn't worry about having to look out for anything particular.
