Default Nissan Fever

im still lookin for the perfect car for me. after goin through a 95 RS and a 94 civic, i want something i can hold on to for a while. im caught between the choices of 97-99 eclipse gsx or 90-94 nissan 300zx. i kno theres a sh*tload of differences, thats y im asking for your opinions on what you think is better. i want a daily driver, but at the the same time i want a fun ride. thanks guys.

u kno thats the third i heard that expression, but i like it. anyway, the 300 zx is RWD twin turbo with 300 hp. sounds very appealing. only setback is the fact that the car is gonna be old. which means theres bound to be problems with it. plus those cars r expensive.

yea, old cars suck. unless you have the time and money to rebuild crap and to me its not worth it. now probably for the amount of money you would rebuild the engine on a 300 zx you could get a GSX or even a GST and slap on a few mod and a upgraded turbo and be just as fast as that car if not faster

an what you dont consider a 2g eclipse old. they are around 10 years old. Thats not much less than like 12 or 13 for a 300zx. The biggest drawback on the 300zx is gonna be working on it. They engine bay is just so clutered. And if you think your gonna buy a 2g and not have to fix it up, then you also got another thing comming. And the 300zx is also t-tops, so thats another plus for it (if you like that). But they are both decent cars. But for a DD i would go with the 2g. youll get better gas mileage, and still have a fun car to drive

300Zs are even less known for reliability than 2G Eclipses...

300zx BAD - older than 2g, harder/more of a pain in the *** to work on, expensive to the fairlady edition (twin turbo'd), don't look that great IMO w/o a kit of somekind.

2g BAD - known for breaking, FWD, minimum of 8 years old, usually beat up from previous drivers.

300zx GOOD - RWD, Twin turbo'd if you fork out the money, t-topped.

2g GOOD - good powerplant base, awd owns, cheaper, a LOT easier to work on, more parts offered i'm pretty sure, looks better.
