you said your head was fine, unless your cylinder walls are cracked i cant really think of anything else that could be wrong

If compression testwas bad, do a cylider leak test. That will tell you where your problem is.

If your getting no compression on all 4 cylinders your either doing the compression test wrong, you have worn piston rings, or your timing is off
