Default noob questions

im going to buy a 97 gsx. I know first u need to put on an exhaust, intake, blow off valve boost gauge, controller, and all that good stuff. I want to know who makes the highest quality of these parts. Also, which turbo would create better flow, a 16g or a 20g turbocharger?

How much horsepower are you looking for? and how often do you plan on driving this gsx? as well, are you comfortable sticking with your 7 bolt crankwalker, or are you going to convert to a 6 bolt block?

20g is better, but more lag. And unless you have a bunch of other supporting mods your better off with a 16g.

Everybody talks about crankwalk because it's better to spend an extra 500 bucks on an engine that isn't known for destroying itself for unknown reasons. If I were to put 5k of upgrades on my car, i'd be pretty p***ed to have the crank destroy half the pistions and rods by venturing outside the block , especially if I were far from home at the time.

Dude crankwalk is rare anyways. If you keep up wit hthe maintanance, it should be just fine. And if it blows... so get a 6 bolt swap? Its not going to destroy your mods...

What makes you say it was crankwalk. I have had people shoot a rod through the block and say it was crankwalk. Way too many people throw that term around.

I know what crankwalk is, It's when the crank finds its way into your engine bay to say "Hello" to all the wires and tubes in there. I've heard it happen to more than 10 people which makes that a problem to me, because it's not like it was just the models released in MY area!
