So, my car was running alright for a few days, and then all the sudden on the way to get something to eat, I started to overheat again. Since we were close to our destination, I took it there. As soon as I got there, I shut the car off, popped the hood, let it cool. Started it up again after we finished eating, and my whole engine shakes. I started to limp it home, watching the tempurature gauge. It stopped shaking after a few minutes of driving, this loud.. sound started. I managed to get it home, popped the hood again, and just started listening. It sounds like a belt, but I don't know. Worth fixing, or should I just junk it?

 

man before you trash it i would find out what is wrong with it because it could be so small to something major like i had a 95 eclipse and my egine started acting up on me i fixed everything that the car was throwing and then was like im done with it and sold it and then the guy that bought it changed out the ecu and now it runs perfectly so find out whats wrong and if its major then throw it out

 

well what does the sound sound like exactly and where does it come from? and did you ever check your head gasket and why your adding coolant if theirs no leaks?
