Default oil

I changed my oil yesterday and i work at autozone so i get 20% off and i bought some mobil 1 extended performance 10w-30 and a mobil 1 filter for a good price. I was just wondering what brand and weight is the best for a my daily driver 97 gst? I am also considering getting the manual transmission fluid changed....I know the weight is 75-90 but what is the best brand to use for that?

Default RE: oil

10w 30 is fine. 20w50 wont burn off as quick but its thicker aka more internal friction

for tranny fluid forget autozone, go get some BG Synchroshift from roadrace or somewhere else that carries it. its $9 per qt and you need just more than 2. Its well worth the price, synchro trannys are sensitive and normal fluids arent good for em. BG will make a huge difference in smoothness when u shift.
