RE: ok seriously......
No bolt ons will give you more power.... it just doesnt work like that. If you want to spend almost 10 grand you can get a built motor and turbo it. But all that in a FWD is pointless....
Why are you so against buying another car? What about an AWD talon?

You dont need 10 grand.. You can turbo it for about $4500.. Its not gonna be a really fast car though.. It will be quick.. But the reason no one really does it is because you can buy a GST and have the same amount of power for a hell of a lot less money.. The money to horsepower that you can get out of that motor just isnt worth it in the end.. Sebba has a good idea of looking for the awd talon or even just the turbo one..

You can do it without many problems as long as you keep the boost down under 8... But your not gonna get big horsepower gains doing that.. But it is gonna be a hell of a lot better than a N/A 420a motor..

Not everyone... But as long as you dont put a huge turbo on your 420a motor, keeping it under 8psi should be safe.. Ive heard 8-10 psi on that motor.. But Ive had one and I wouldnt even go to 8.. I personally would recommend 6psi...

Turboing that motor is never trouble free. Its never as simple as just bolt everything up and tune it. Not to mention most of them are high mileage anyway.... its just stupid. The way i see it, what ever you think its going to cost you...... double it

RE: ok seriously......
I had a garage price it out for me a couple years back, and after buying the turbo kit + labor to install it was $4,500.. That was covering everything that you need... Its up to each person how much boost you run on it.. That will make the difference on how long it will last.

How about the price when you blow the ring lands or bend a rod? Or blow the head gasket? PLEASE. Turboing a high mileage motor (over/near 100K) is very risky. Not to mention a motor as notorious as the 420a.
