Okay so I might be selling my 2003 mustang and going back to driving my 1999 Eclipse RS because the insurance on the thing is soo much and I don't really feel like pouring all the money I make into the thing. It makes me sad because I love my mustang and it is alot faster than my lil eclipse even if it is a 6 banger with a couple mods. But I also am kinda sick of how so many people around here have mustangs, thats also a part of the reason I might sell it. Well since I might be going back to my eclipse year round I want to know If its even worth putting a CAI and exhaust on it to make it a lil more peppy. It is also an automatic which doesnt help. The old girl just doesnt have much umph. What can I do to her to give her some help, that doesnt cost too awfully much?

 

Start with the CAI and the exhaust I'd say no bigger than a 2.75" exhaust setup. Alsoo look into putting her on a diet. Lose the unnecessary weight unless you plan on haulin stuff around. Also consider next a port n polish job on the intake. That should pep her up quite a bit. Might also look into having the throttle body bored out a little larger and the intake bored to match as well as port n polished.
