<IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">Hi alvar, sounds like either you did something wrong or you may have other problems. You may have timing belt off one tooth when you put new one on or some other missed mistake.I would highly suggest that you purchase a compression test gauge and check your compression on all 4 cylinders and verify that they are all about the same. You may have possibly bent a valve when the old belt broke, although i do not think the 1.8 is an interference motor where the pistons can bend some valves when the belt breaks as on the 2.0 liter. Also, verify that you have the spark plug wires on the correct way,and to the correct cylinder. Good luck, hope this helps and you find the problem.
