I haven't really posted much on here, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I havea 1998 Eclipse. I've had it for a while and I'm thinking it's time for something newer.

I'm looking at an '07 Cobalt LS. It's wrecked, so it would have a salvage title. I have access to everything I would need to fix it. Nothing major.Just needs front bumper cover, passenger side front fender, and passenger side headlight (probably both headlights cause I'll want HIDs). The hood isn't bad, could be fixed, it's not wrinkled or anything, but I'm thinking cowl or cf. It has around 11, 200 miles on it. They're asking $4,200.

I attached pics, hopefully it works. Since this pic, the suspension has been fixed on the right front. It runs/moves.

Myself, I don't think it's a bad idea, butmy boyfriend is freaking out because it will have a salvage title. I don't see it as a big deal, either does my dad, but I kind of want some outside opinions.

Any thoughts??!!

Was there any damage done to the engine when it was wrecked? Since you said it runs, I would assume not, but that would be something to consider.

If it runs great and you don't mind doing some body work, I would say go for it

 

No, nothing wrong with the motor. Sounded like a good price to me. Even with a salvage title, it will still be worth more than that when it's fixed...

since it was wrecked you might want to make sure the a-frame and the frame aren't bent but sounds good
