Default Parts list, 18psi what do you think?

Ok guys the time has come to buy mods. I have a 98 GSX with 60k miles on it. My girlfriends dad just bought a new mazda 3 speed. He invited me to a local drag strip to race about a month from now. I am going to show him whats up. the only problem is I need to do a little tuning, here are some ideas let me know what you think would work best. Also I was told that running 18psi is relativly safe for a basicially stock set up, is that true?

AEM electronic boost conroller or Manual boost controller with gauge (18psi)
K and N intake kit and filter or Injen Intake kit and filter with piping
1g BOV
Upper and lower IC piping (what brand?)

I have magna flow exhaust

Do you think that would get the job done? Also do I need a diferent fule pump for 18psi?

Ok sounds good, is that somewhat easy to install?

Should I go with the Injen or K and N filter kit

What is a good brand of upper and lower IC piping to use with 1G bov? Do I need IC piping?

Should I do manual or electronic boost controll?

Yeah its an in tank pump. Takes about 20 mins to install.

Get an Injen intake with a K&N filter

You wont really need it as long as you can find a bolt on flange... if you want to.. the brand doesnt matter.. as long as it has a 1g flange.. (greddy flange will work too when you drill 2 holes)

Either boost controller. Both will work exactly the same.. but the EBC you can do from inside the car.. the MBC you have to go under the hood

You think that the K and N filter is better than the Injen?
