Ok so I took out my stereo today to hook up the wires for my boost gauge to the wiring harness. Now my headunit will not turn on. I know I have power because when my faceplate is off, a red light blinks. Why will my headunit not turn on? And for hooking up my boost gauge, the yellow in the wiring harness can be used for a constant 12V? And the Red for the 12V ignition.

 

Actually now when I turn the key to accessory, nothing works at all. Meaning my dome lights, inside door lights, nothing in my cluster lights up, and the stereo doesn't even blink red anymore. What is the problem?

 

Did you check the fuses?

 

Checked all the ones I thought I was suppose to check. Do you know which ones in particular to check and where.

 

Check all of them (fuse box in the car)

 

They are all good. Any other suggestions.

 

Did you double check all the work you just did b/c you must have disturbed something.

 

The only thing that I did was splice in a a wire to the yellow wire on the wire harness and then spliced the red wire on the wire harness. I even took them out and put it back to the original way and it still doesn't work.
