PLEASE Help!!! No start!!!
95 eclipse rs, new plugs, wires, and coil. Spark is good to plugs (checked with spark tester), so Im guessing it is probably fuel. Is there a way to check to see if fuel is getting to the cylinders? If so, how? what kind of special tools will i need? I have been using chilton's manual, but it only explains r&r for the fuel system. I need troubleshooting advice.
Thank you in advance. WFO420

found the problem, needed more gas and charged battery. It seems that when the fuel pump doesn't get enough voltage, it doesn't pressurize the fuel lines enough. Thanks for everyones help, or no help which is what i got. It looks like you all are as impressive as mitsubishi cars are!! Thanks for nothing.
Lets see, the first post came in at 4:54:28 on the 22nd, your own answer came in at 2:03:01 on the 23rd. Sorry wfo420, we'll try to snap to it faster the next time. How long would you have waited for service at the dealership and at what cost? The first rule when trying to start your car is, make sure the battery is fully charged. We do appeciate your added information about the cause, not many newbies here ever get back about what was the final solution. The low battery thing seems likely as a pump takes more power to start than to run, so your pressure would be less on startup with a too low battery. The fuel pump relay probably only switches momentarily until the pump starts then switches back off as the system then can handle reduced power load of the running pump. If you were told that you needed a fuel pressure gauge to check pressure at the fuel rail would that have been more helpful? It Still would not have told you the battery was dead. A test light at the relay would have stayed on if the pump was not running and gone out if there was enough power to run the pump.
