Hey all, just put a new intake in my 98 Gs-t replacing the stock box. My question is when i go down the road and shift i hear the bov and a sound like air wooshig through the intake. Is this normal? everything is hooked up right but i want to be sure its right to make this noise. thanks for the help.

now if the noise is normale i want to buy a better bov. Ive heard that the gen 1 bov is better but where can i find one? do they still sell them or would i have to go to a junkyard for one? Id rather have a new one . if not a gen 1 then who makes a reasonably priced one for my car?

is this at a normal shift or a hard pull? It is normal to hear it the spool up and BOV will always sound louder when you add an intake also you may be hearing is the sound of the BOV just recirculating the air threw the dump tube back into the intake... The sound the EVO makes I could only decribe as like a whip or something but thats only at a normal 3-3.5k shift if I pull hard it sound like the BOV normally does. Maybe make sure your dump tube it put on tight as well
