Default Is it possible?

Hi,

A friend of mine has a new Subaru and it has a nice feature which I was wondering whether is posisble to be installed in a 2G Eclipse GS Spyder. When he has his headlights on and turn off the car and lock the car the headlights automatically turn off. This is pretty cool when people sometimes forget their lights one and drain the batter of the car (I am ashamed to admit it but it happend to me twice so far (()

Thanks,

Svetlin

It would be far more trouble than it would be worth even just rewiring them so they would shut off with the car let alone with locking the doors.

If you can find a way to wire it in with a turbo timer causing it to SHUT OFF then it will work. I have never seen it done, but in theory it will work.

You would probably have to go from the headlight switch. Also the timer idea would probably work but he's NA, no real point in getting it unless you really had a problem leaving your lights on.

Actually he can still use the Timer. They call it a TURBO timer but it is not really. It is a auto timer. On my pen style Apexi TT it even says "Turbo and N/A applications right on the unit.

In Japan most cars have them aswell, even the na ones. It is still possible for him to use it

Because not all motors have a good cooling system and need the extra time to help aid in cooling the cars.

With that said.........our cars have a good enough cooling system. The TT is not really needed. Unless you HAVE to get out fast and have no time to give your car a nice slow ride to the parking spot. 30sec is just fine in that case.

I have one. I use it for 30sec. I paid for it so it gets used. If I knew now, what I didn't know then I would have spent it other places.

But that is the story of our lives, lol.

It's a bit of work, but you may be able to use a relay switch and signal from the map lights.
