Default Power Mirror Installation

I have a 1998 Spyder with manual mirrors. When I took off the door panel recently to change a blown speaker, I noticed that there is a power mirror connector wire looped over and taped to the door right below my manual mirror. I got to thinking that perhaps Mitsubishi used a standard cable bundle when manuafacturing all Eclipses rather than custom bundles depending on what accessories you ordered. That seemed to make sense as it would streamline the manufacturing process. If that was the case, it seemed that converting to power mirrors could be easy if all the connections were there but just inactive. But, when I checked the dash by where the mirror control switch would be located, I can't find an unused connector for the mirrors. Has anyone converted from manual mirrors to power mirrors before? What do you need to do? Is the connector somewhere in the dash and I'm just missing it? Can't find anything in Chilton's Manual. Any ideas about how to do this?
