I recently had my power steering belt snap on my '99 Eclipse non-turbo and everything was fine for about a week but now when i turn my wheel it occasionally makes a higher pitched squeeking noise, has anybody had this problem or know how to fix it?

I find a Serpentine salad with a vinegarette or ranch dressing goes quite well, lol...
Seriously though MIen... just hose that thing down it should be good.

Its LOOSE! Tighten it down again. My sisters Eclipse does the same thing.

 

Hey man, pretty much all 2gs make belt noise.
Dressing does not help.
(This thread has been done beofre).
What I can recomend to do and quiet it down significantly.
Change your tensioner.
Its like $40 from the dealer.
