Default Question about BOV + J-Pipe

Hey guys I was just wondering... I tapped a nipple on my J pipe for the BOV, I also have my boost gauge T-ed into the BOV line I noticed when I hooked it up to the J pipe it was not pulling a vaccum, it was like .28psi and when I hooked it up to the manifold again (like it is now) it was at -16ish and so I was wondering will the BOV still work right if I put the hose on the J pipe?

I was told that I should tap a nipple on the J pipe for the BOV. I am not going to run the boost gague off of it but I just plugged it all on there at first and noticed it. Will the BOV work hooked up to that?
