Default recall?

hey all, I heard tail for a recall on all 2nd gen eclipses. Something about the tie rod? I'm lost for thought right now... whatever holds your damn wheel onto the car, and no not the lugs! lol, its been a long night and I can't think, anyways... anyone else heard about this? I guess there has been a problem with 2nd gens just driving and the "tie rod" busting and losing a wheel. tie rod or CV joint.. not sure

Default recall?

I used to have a 97 eclipse RS back in 2000-2002 and i remember there being a recall on the CV joint. apparently it would just pop right out or something. Mitsu did it for free and the guy told me that one on my car was really loose and that i was lucky i got there before anything happened.

just go to your local mitsu dealer and ask them about recalls. let them know you just heard about that one... since its a factory recall, they shouldnt charge you.

i hope that helps
