Its not worth saving a dollar or two to blow up your motor, beside some boosted cars run like dog **** on 89 octane. I run 93 in mine its pretty much the highest octane around here that you can get from a pump. I'm not sure what yours is where you live.

yea or here in ohio we have no quality control on fuel so our 93 could be some half stale rejected crap from another state.[:@]
i can tell a difference between once stations 93 and another's/ thats pretty sad my car runs like total **** and knocks like hell on marathon 93. sunoco 94 same thing, BP 93 runs great.
and the **** water **** is still $2.50 a gallon.[:'(]

Marathon is notorius for having ****ty gas. Ive always put 93 in mine (95 TSi).. tried to use 91 for a while, to save like what... 3 cents? That was from Sunoco and it ran like dog**** for that whole tank anyway..

never run less than 91 octane in a boosted car!!! here is an article on why http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question90.htm after reading this, it should make since. if it doesn't make since then read "how the 4 stroke engine works" and "how turbochargers work" then come back and read the octane article and then you should understand why. a place around the corner (Sonoco) just installed a new pump for race gas - 110 octane. very nice!!

You know whats sad? Theres a race track like... less than 5 miles from my house, and NOONE seems to sell anything over 93 here... 'cept some people that have fuel cells in thier P/U trucks to fill thier track cars...
