Did you try taking the lid off the fuse box or maybe even un bolting the fuse box. It's only 2 or 3 bolts you don't need to unhook and wires.

or just unbolt the whole headlight assembly, thats easy enough, then just take the bulb out from the back.

Haha taking the whole headlight assembly out will recquire taking the front bumper off of the car, which is a little more difficult than just possibly moving the fuse box for a little bit. IF you are going to unbolt the fuse box and move it while you get to the back of the headlight, do one thing first. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. I vividly remember putting new headlight assemblies in my car a year ago and my friend was unbolting something from the driver side headlight and shocked the **** out of himself, very scary moment. Just a warning for the future.

wow finally took it out after 13 bolts. took out 13 bolts just to replace a burned light bulb...

It really shouldn't, I'm sure you were probably doing something wrong, who knows what, but glad you got it fixed.
