hi, i have a problem with my 1997 gsx, whenever i try to shift into reverse gear, the gear seems to stuck in neutral gear, what plemlem could it be?thank you.

 

dsm trannys suck, that could be the problem my reverse sometimes has a grinding problem, but i found that as long as you have the clutch pushed al the way to the floor, and if shift into either 1st or second before going into reverse, it doesnt grind, so maybe it will help you

 

And if that doesnt work, let go of the clutch a tiny bit while in 1st or second just to budge the car a little bit, then it will most likely go into reverse.

 

well i dont want to assume anything....so first off...is the car a manual or an automatic. Cuz that will make a big difference.
