Default rwd eclipse???

Im sorry but... isnt a rwd eclipse too much of a hassle? i was browsing around buschur racing's website and i found convertion pieces.... have any of you heard of something like so? wouldnt it be kinda problematic?? thoughts on this? wouldnt it cause the number of eclipses to drop considerably due to stupid people trying to drift? haha

Eh, it's for RWD fanatics IMO. You have to remember that there are folks out there that enjoy burn outs, I know I used to.
I can see the applications for this though. Just like you stated, drifting and...well, that's the only application I can think of, lol.

i have seen a video of a 1g that had a conversion to RWD done. It was pretty cool. But AWD is better on the eclipse imo. To say its a hassle though i dont think is true. I dont believe it was all that difficult to do the conversion.

if you really wanted to ghetto rig it, couldn't you just "remove" the front axles of the awd version?

Possibly.. But im sure you would have other issues to address with it then.. But theoretically it should work

I think brent rau's car is the only rwd eclipse ive seen.. But it would be nice to have!!

yeah because... i mean, burnouts on the eclipse would be cool, but then again... wouldnt a great built one spin a lot on the takeoff? haha, and yeah the only aplication i can think of is drifting... but in the hands of ricer people...
On the other hand, its something id like to work on just for the sake of doing something different... you know just for fun
