oh and i just read in your other thread you are looking for injectors. save yourself some tuning frustration (since you only have an safc, and especially since you are new to tuning) and get denso 660s. They may be a bit more pricey than other brands (pte, fic etc) but maybe you can find a used set (i just let go of my set for $100). all 680s are made by the same manufacturer, the deadtime is way different than stock injectors and delivery is not linear. What does that mean? Since you cant control deatime with the safc (you need dsmlink/greddy emanage etc $$$$$$) you will have a hell of a time fine tuning them. Sure, people run them, but you wont be able to get the hp out of them that you should be getting. I sold my pte 680s for a set of 660s and made a world of a difference. trust me.

DSM is right about the knock thing too. I remember reading it about the evo's that knock on them doesnt work at all but i wasnt sure if it went the same for the 2g's. As for the A/f ratio, that is a little rich. I would think you can play with it a bit just to get a feel for using it. I would say try and shoot for a steady 10.8 or something, so when you get injectors you'll have a good feel for it.

thanks for letting me know that DsmTalon, I was getting ready to order up some 680's. I found some used Denso 720's for around $150 Im gonna try to get.

Yeah I figured that was alittle rich but I didnt want to play with it too much and screw something up. I'll play with it when I get out of work, and I'll probably be back with some more questions.

Thanks again guys

do you have the setup correct cuz that is the critical part (setting the sensor type, TH points, # cylinders, and all the NE points) Without these set correctly it is useless

it is rich, but on a tiny stock side mount and a t25 that blows such hot air (assuming you have stock setup) it may not be such a good idea to lean it out anymore. there are only 2 ways to prevent knock on a stock setup at a given boost level, buy better gas (higher octane) or keep things on the rich side.

yeah I set the sensor type as karman, I adjusted the throttle points to where I like it, Its set on 4cyl and I havent played with the NEpoints yet. Im keeping everything set to 0 until I get some injectors. For right now Id rather have it running rich than lean.

I still have the SMIC, which is next on my list to be replaced after injectors, but I have an upgraded turbo that came with the car, 16g I think, though Im not sure which one it is, It says TDO5-H on it, but I can't really make out all the serial numbers. Im gonna jack the car up or something to get a better look at the #'s.

I never put in anything less than 93oct.
