RE: Scared Of Crankwalk
So far from being on here i think ive only heard of about 5 or 6 on these forums. My old talon was starting to show signs of it so i sold it. And one kid around me had it happen to him. But its all about maintenance

i wouldnt be scared man. and if it does happen then bam you just throw in a 6bolt. not quite that easy. i am on the 4th engine in my car thanks to the last owners and none of the others had cwalk just mistreated and overboosted. but i wouldnt worry.

-The screeching noise is a belt
-the ticking noise would be lifter tick
-it does not cause loss of hydraulic fluid
I think you have been mislead my friend. Here is the usual signs
-Clutch sticking to the floor (NO loss of fluid) it just sticks sometimes. And not from the carpet making it stick either, haha
-Low oil pressure at idle. Sometimes the oil light will flicker or come on (this is the problem i was starting to see
-main bearing slowely going out of spec (you would have to measure this one)
-Loud knocking from the bottom of the engine (usually is the last thing you hear before you car no longer runs
