Well, my car died on me coz of the clutch and I had to scrap all my plans of hooking up the motor and push it to some mom n pop shop to get a new clutch. Since that happened, I am thinking of building a new motor. I figure I'll buy some simple/needed bolt ons for my motor now and start building up a new one.

I have been looking at small blocks and can't seem to find anything under $1500. What I am wondering is what do I need in a small block if I am trying to just get up to 400hp. I know this was just talked about in another thread but I can't find it. I remember readin RCJ leavin some good advice. Anyways, I know I don't need forged internals for just 400hp, so I am wondering what to look for in a small block.

Any advice or links to previous threads and any spots where I can order one would be great.
