So i bought this 1995 Eclipse used. They have an aftermarket head unit installed and Memphis speakers. I took the rear ones out and put in 4-way pioneers. anyways. on the origanal sales paper, whihc he gave to me. tells what comes witht he car and the price and mpg, etc.

Is that whats under the passenger seat? If so, how do i get it to work again. I found two cables, only one runs to the battery, but its not hooked up

And it says I have 8 speakers. I have 6... 2 in the dash, 2 in the front, and 2 in the back

Itraced the cable and it goes to the back. it was stashed under the back seat. i guess they never used the factory amp or it doesn't work. is there a way to get it to work on my own

The factory amp isnt worth getting up and running again, IMO. But yes, thats whats under the seat there. WHy would u change out Memphis Audio to Pioneer???

 

oh man. i didn't know they were memphis's. they didn't sound very loud. so i removed them. and it said memphis. and i put these 80W RMS 4-way pioneers in.

 

[sm=chairshot.gif]They may not be "louder" but theyll sure be clearer, and of SIGNIFICANTLY higher quality... its kinda like trading in a Mercedes for a Camry.

Ive heard stories about there being 2 spkrs in the hatch. But it sounds like bull****... My guess? The rear 6x9s were prolly coaxial speakers (2 way) and they called it 2 seperate speakers.

 

mine has 2 in the doors two in the back and the tiny ones in the dash or on top of it? i dont know if there is anything in there but im guessing that would be the other two

 

What the hell? Are you sure thats stock?? TWO in the doors, and TWO in the back passenger area?
