Default t40b 50 trim

Hey I'm coltonI used to have a account set up here but I forgot what is was and what my password is so I got a new one. I have a 1995 eagle talon tsi fwd. It's in the process of being built the engine is a 2.3l stroker, bored .20over, ported n polished heads, extruned and honed. I run 18" tenzo r type m rims with a 245 series street slicks. The car has koni yellow struts tanabe coil overs and its lower 1.5 inches. coil on plug ignition. With a kazz lsd and a stage 4 tranny from sniders transmissions. To end it quick every supporting mod imaginable. The only problem is now I need to chose my turbo. So far I'm looking into a bullseye t40b 50 trim turbo for streetable reasons and for the fact ill be able to reach my 500whp goal.It will be used at the track but I would like to drive it when I want to. Does anyone know how fast the spool up is on the 50 trim? or shouldI look into a diff turbo?

50 trim is a great turbo and they usually get full spool by about 4500 and it should be capable of 500whp but that is really pushing it to the max. But it should be fine. Just make sure you get an externally gated turbo. The 50 trim definetly is one of the best pump gas turbos

you said fwd, ha i wanna see that car get traction, even tho you have lsd and stage 4 tranny u'll still spin a whole lot, and yeah 500whp is pushing the limit of that puppy and if you wanna run it safer get methanol injection for it just to cool things down

agree with both of the above. 50 trim is a great turbo for any 2.0+ applications wanting to make 400+. but Ihausi is correct as well, you won't catch traction until mid-late 4th gear even w/ a GREATsuspension setup and your street slicks.

The traction I was aware about. When I am at the track I will use slicks on 16" rims. I figured the extra power with all my other mods added in would help aid to that 500hp>? Ive seen over 500hp dsms runing the dsm evo 3 like my old turbo and the t4 is bigger. Also anyone know how loud the t4 is my evo 3 was pretty loud and I need to go louder.

I dont know why you would want all that in a FWD car...

But the 50 trim is great. It should take you where you want to be.

I want all of it in a fwd car becuz all of the dsm world is awd. And all I hear is convert it convert it well how about i build it then kick your awd's ***. I like to make things differnt. Its a 95 talon with the 99 eclipse front bumper and lights everyone loves it. And its ethir build it or go buy sumthing like a mr2 or supra

yeah dude, from a launch (which for me is 2500rpm's like a bi***,lol) i get traction halfway thru 4th, and i got tein super street adj dampers and nice michelin tires. and yeah my buddy hasa barely stock tsi awd and he took me by a good 2 car lenghts off the start, but i caught up at the end. but from a roll it was the total opposite i took him quit and painless, haha
but yeah i woudln't recommend it and if you ever get stuck in traffic with that thing, good luck, i almost pulled over and started walking, lol
