Default TAKING OFF THE CAT CONVERTER

I HAVE A 1998 ECLIPSE GS, AND WAS PLANNING ON UPGRADING MY EXHAUST. IVE ALREADY DONE THE COLD AIR INTAKE, AND WAS WANTING TO DO THE EXHAUST ONE PIECE AT A TIME. MY FIRST THING WAS PLANNING TO TAKE OFF THE CAT, I LIVE IN TALLAHASSEE FLORIDA, AND THEY NEVER CHECK THOSE THINGS, SO IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THAT. BUT WOULD IT MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE POWER, OR ANYTHING? IF ITS POINTLESS TO GET IT REMOVED AND STRAIGHT PIPE IT, THEN ILL JUST USE THE MONEY FOR OTHER THINGS. BUT LET ME KNOW.

first off dont write in all caps it'll get annoying real fast , and second of all, with a gs you wont notice a difference in power at all, it'll just be louder, you're o2 sensor will throw a code and you'll have a constant check engine light on. So i would say if you wanted a new exhaust just save up and buy a nice apexi or greddy or something...

I agree with them. Just stick to a catback exhaust system with a nice sound like greddy or magnaflow
