I was looking to buy some 18" and 235/45-18 tires. So what you'll are saying is this will rub on my GST spyder and performance will be better if I go with 17"s? I was reading this article here: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/fe...rbo/index.html
check it out. They seem to know what they were doing.

i'm not reading all of that lol i'm just saying that on my GS the optiions given for me 18' motegi's were 225 or 235. for a car that isn't driven on any tracks or road corses 235 is pointless. I dont think 235 would rub in there but i wouldn't got that large and most definatly wouldn't go any larger than that.

with 18's and a 45 sidewall you shouldnt rub. Im not sure if you have the car lowered though. But on stock ride height youd be good

Well, for one I wanted much more grip. Eveytime I release the clutch I only get spinning wheels. Granted that I still have the stock wheels on the car so I guess thats to be expected. I wanted to get some wheels that would optimum for grip and look good. So what do you think? My car is lowered and its a spyder so a little heavier therefore lowered a little more. Any suggestions?

i'm done with he show thing. i'm all about power now. if you are looking for grip a better investment would be suspension mods and the RIGHT tires... yes 245 will give you better grip but we aren't talking a huge difference.
