i bought a 2nd gen Spyder Eclipse GS but its automatic.. my bro and i did a tranny swap on his 94 civic [yuck!] and now i want mine stick too. If anyone can help me out with a list of parts [specifics please] and procedures to do the conversion i'd greatly appreciate it.

sell it, buy a manual, i was about to buy this BEAUTIFUL 99 eclipse and try to turn it into stick the ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST i found was about 3500, and they said that that can change depending on any problems they run into. i forget all they said was involved but they have to put a new trani, new computer, new cluth, etc... so if you want a stick that bad, sell and buy it

your welcome mr sarcasim. we were just giving the best advice! it would be at least 4 grand to convert to auto. that's another car so we were helping the guy out...

 

yea dude back off... me and rc got this shizzit on the hizzle..

 

Cluch pedal assembly, master cyl. fluid res., fluid lines, slave cyl, tranny, ecu, flywheel, cluch, throw out bearing, pressure plate, last three things usually come toagther with a cluch kit, shifter cables, rubber bushing inserts, floor pice that holds shifter, shifter,new center console, leather boot, shift ****. Thats all that I can think of off the top of my head and there is probally a million other little things that are needed.

 

They're charging you that much for LABOR. Parts really arent all that expensive. I can do the labor myself, i've done tranny swaps before i just wanna know exactly what goes into a Mitsu Eclipse tranny swap. Thanks for th einfo though.
