Default Trouble with a 96 GSX

Thanks for looking and reading. To being with, my eclipse has been sitting in the garage for a little over 2 weeks now. It was making funny knocking noises so we took out the engine. Upon taking it out and examining it, we found that my drive plate had cracked. So got a new one and we put everything back in, and pretty much replaced everything that needed replacing. Now the car won't turn on at all. All it does is click once and nothing happens. Starter is brand new, so is the battery. Would anyone have any idea why it isn't working? Any input would greatly be appreciated.

Ah, I'm not too sure. I'll give it a try tomorrow morning and post up an answer.

Honestly it sounds like the starter. A click and no action = starter.

my 1g did this check the neutral safety switch behind the clutch pedal, there are two make sure they are both being engaged/disengaged properly. most of the time the little rubber gromet comes out and the car things the clutch isnt pushed in when it is.
