Default Turbocharging

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could a turbo kit for a 3rd generation eclipse. The V6 model. And also one of my friends told me that it would be a good idea to get titanium forged pistons and forged rods if i was going to turbocharge my engine. How much of a difference does changing the pistons make, and is it even nesseccary?

There are various places to look but know whether or not your engine can handle the turbo before buying it. You can try searching e bay or yahoo auctions. Or look into local pro shops. as for the pistons it should be fine with lower pressure levels but when you go to the higher boost levels then you might need to consider getting stronger pistons but I doubt it. The forged pistons and rods may be lighter and rods will be necessary to get when you get to higher pressure levels as well (I'm not sure of exact numbers I'd guess over 18-20# of boost you may want to consider getting the new pistons and rods). But if they ARE lighter then you should get a small increase in the power output as well.

3rdgen eclipse is not a DSM. I havnt seen any kits for the 3g eclipses, im sure you could make one custom, but i wouldnt boost over 5-8lbs without lower compression pistons and a built motor for a turbo.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant it that he makes kits for the 3g eclipse.
