RE: Turn Popping?
they sell rebuild kits for CV joints, they come with the internal parts, the boot, and a premeasured amount of grease (make sure you use all of the grease that comes in the package)
1.) remove half shaft from steering knuckle
2.) cut the metal bands (that are keeping the boot tight) off with some diagonal cutters
3.) cut boot if needed and remove it from the shaft
4.) you should see a metalpiece with 6 ***** in it. push down on one of those ***** and it will bring the ball on the opposite side up. remove that ball from the cage and push down where you removed that ball to take out the opposite one (following me? lol) repeat that for all the other ***** in there.
5.) after those ***** are all removed you should be able to pull out the cage and the rest of the parts in the metal part of the joint.
6.) put some of the prepackaged grease in underneath where the parts go, replace all the parts in the opposite way you took them out
7.) squirt the rest of the grease in the boot
8.) replace the boot, and clamp it down with new clamps
9.) mount the steering knuickle back onto the half shaft and you should be good to go.
lemme know if you have any questions

RE: Turn Popping?
Some reason when i ordered new axle and cv joints i always got the one with a big boot for my gsx soo it made contact with a metal screw under neath it. and kept tearing. NOw i have the ones with the smaller boot. Free replacement but annoying. Or maybe the shop keeps ordering the wrong one. I dont know just something to look at.. Maybe i just have bad luck.
