Twin turbo Eclipse???
I'm new here. I guess my first question has to be: is there any way to convert a '95 Eclipse Turbo to a Twin turbo? I'm from Utah so you can imagine that my car knowledge is limited. There aren't any tuning shops, well, any shops around here to get advice or anything from. I'm just looking for some fb on this subject. ie: would it even be worth it to convert to a twin turbo or stick with the stock motor and upgrade that? Any suggestions would be awesome.

RE: Twin turbo Eclipse???
its possible with two small turbos. dont uhave enough cylinders to push anything bigger than maybetwo stock turbosin my opinion. but it wont be efficient. you can get around 350 easily with a evo3 16g. or if you crave more power you can get a 20g and get you around 400hp or so.
BUT if you have a FWD, like i do, when you get to 300HP, you lose alot of traction and might want to think about putting in a LSD to help with it.
i just had a discussion with a guy at work about this. he wanted to put a "Biggie-Smalls" (big turbo with a small turbo) on his Spyder GS and i had to tell him that it wont work unless you have at least 6 cylinders. but hes a idiot anyway....lol

RE: Twin turbo Eclipse???
there'sa vid of a guy who convered it to twin turbo a long time ago racing a Camero SS and got raped. just because there are 2 turbos doesn't mean that you will have twice the power. that's why most people looking to push a lot of power out of their skylines, 240's, supra's, Lexus IS's, etc etc etc usually convert to just1 large turbo.
what is your end horsepower goal?

Like they are saying you do not want two turbos. The system, piping and setup are just way to inefficient and its not worth it at all. With more research and learning youll realize that one single larger turbo is better than two. And on a 4 cylinder car, single is definetly the only way to do it. But i suggest you start looking around the forums and doing research before you even think of doing any turbo upgrades. Start off small
