Type S BOV
Ok quick question I have a Greddy Type S BOV that I just installed on my Eclipse GSX and I was wondering what the nipple on the back of the valve is for. I have the boost reference line hooked up so does that on just get clamped off or what?

RE: Type S BOV
ok well that's all well and good but what is it for? I searched around on the net and found something that said you could hook it up to the turbo outlet pipe so it would get pressure even when the manifold is pulling vacuum, which would make the BOV slightly quicker and more effective. Is this true?

RE: Type S BOV
Yes, but sometimes (if you are boosting more than 20psi) it will cause a premature release. Nothing sexual about a nice bog in the middle of a good pull down the strip/street.
If you hook it up to a boost source BEFORE the Bypass valve itself (I.E. Turbo Comp Cover, Outlet pipe, IC piping elbow under fuse panel) you will get the same reward.
*I have been running it without a line since I was boosting 19psi. I have NO problems with needing a CRISP release. Pressure is pressure and it will leave*
