I have a 95 gst and for some reason its not accelerating. My idle for about a week was really low dropping from about 1000 to 500, so I disconnected the battery to reset the ecu, and cleaned out the throttle. Nows its idling around 780, but now when I start from a complete stop it doesnt pick up. I have to rev to about 3500 to get any kind of movement. What could it be. Someone please help me!

 

Have you replaced your fuel filter lately? I would be looking into your fuel system, maybe timing......Could be lots of things. I usually start simple with things you wouldn't think would do it, like vaccum lines and **** and then work up to the more complex. you can do a compression test too. Have you checked for any codes?

 

also check the spark plugs, and the plug wires.
