Default Vinyl Dash Kits

I am wanting to redo the interior of my car. I baught it used and its got custom orange paint, but the original color was silver so it has blue interior and it looks like crap with the orange exterior. I want to buy that paint for car interior and paint all of the trim carpet and dash black on the inside. im also gonne buy black leather seat covers. Im scared the painted areas will turn out looking like junk, Anybody got some adivse on how to do that right? If this seems like a bad idea, do you know of any alternative ideas i could do becasue it looks horible.

And then I was planning on buying a vinyl dash trim kit, but again I dunno how good they look. Anybody else do this to their interior and did you have any problems and does it look good? If you do, do you got any pics to post?

well that's one option, the other one would be to get replacement panels of the color you want. the GS's have leather seats you could get instead of seat covers if you want (i hate seat covers). as for advice on painting your interior... i'd suggest going on yahoo or goole and doing a search.

yeah thats a good idea. Im gonna call up some local junk yards and see if they have any GS's that I can scrap the seats and other stuff from becasue I hate seat covers too. Would the GS have to be a 96 like mine or could it just be a 95-99?
And as for the vinyl dash kits, anybody have anything to say about them?

95-99 is fine. you can also check ebay for those panels and seats and if you absolutely can't find a piece call Gary at www.mitsubishigraveyard.com he can find anything mitsubishi, ANYTHING! lol

i have a nice kit that came from summit racing a few months ago i think it was like $75. it covered the radio panel and the section up above that the air conditioner part. the only thing i didnt like was that it didnt come with one for the fog light area. but it looks nice i got the brushed aluminum, on a black interior looks beautiful.
