Dyno'd????? whaddya thinkin??? We're not supra owner's ya know! We can't afford $200 dyno sessions or be able to fling Tiffany priced items at our cars!!! haha, well...it would surely eliminate the possibilty, but which dyno to use? Engine dyno, Brake dyno, wheel dyno????? Eddy/current, water-brake(yeah right)....there's just soo many choice's!!! And all will give different results!!! SAE or actual...which to choose? Oh well....i dunno...this post was pointless.

I liked throwing in that "supra owners" thing, it just made me feel better. Like every Supra owner i've seen in my area is some old guy that's trying to look young....oh well, i guess when you have money you can do whatever you want.

Yea, but they always seem to have the money to buy a nice supra then dump buttloads of money into them. I wish I could do that with mine, dump like 10k into it for the hell of it, lol.

Spyderman, do you datalog? I was talking to this on guy a while back and he used to do that, and then took it to a dyno session for his car club. Turns out that his car was running way too rich at WOT and idle.

hehe, I was thinking of just buying a wideband sensor/controller and turning our emissions testing place into a performance dyno. Our dyno's are limited to 60mph loaded, but turn the box off and you can go up to 140mph with no load. I'll do it in the summer.....

Wow, I don't know were to start.

Do not Port and Polish your 2G head. Most places do not know the proper specs. If you must get a 1G head or even the 1G MANUAL cams. They are very slightly more aggressive.

There is so much more, but I do not want to be the new guy sounding as if I know everything. I have been in the DSM game for 5 years or so and have NEVER seen a stock civic beat a stock Eclipse. Never. Stock means stock, not intake and headers. It does alot more for them than most think. He also has something else going on, be it motor swap or a nice 50shot hid away from watchful eyes.

Yea...I invested in a datalogger a while back...so far I don't really have any problems with it running rich at idle or WOT....i had a basemap made at a real dyno a while back and I just tinker with that map a little at a time mostly now....

You tune with an S-AFC (I or II) or a DSMlink (ver. 1 or 2)?
